Center for Visual Arts

427 Fourth Street

The CVA was organized in 1982 by a group of local artists with the principal of providing education and appreciation for the visual arts, and to provide exhibiting space to encourage local & regional artists. The CVA has a long-standing relationship and history in downtown Wausau. For 30 plus years the CVA has been located in the historic building on the corner of North 4th and Scott Street, as a part of the Arts Block. Currently the historic 108 building is being renovated. With a totally “new” renovated historic facility, the Center for Visual Arts is embarking on a whole new future for the arts in our community and region.

The CVA was recognized as the 2016 Small Business of Year - Charitable Non-Profit by the Wausau Region Chamber of Commerce
