The Wausau River District unveiled a new way to explore the city to the Wausau City Council Tuesday evening.
Two University of Wisconsin Stevens Point students developed the Wausau Digital Concierge, which is an app that you can access online.
You don't need to download an app, but can instead access the web page which contains an interactive map to see shops, restaurants and other amenities in the area.
Developers said it's a great new tool for businesses, residents and visitors.
"This organizes the business in a one stop shop, it puts downtown Wausau in the palm of visitors hands, so they'll be able to quickly plan an evening out or weekend adventure, and once while in Wausau, they can then use it for navigation once in the Wausau downtown," said Doug Miskowiak, who supervised the students.
The app is free to use.
