Open Committee Positions

Committee Members are expected to attend all scheduled meetings and volunteer two times in a calendar year.

  • The Placemaking Committee develops ideas that encourages a sense of place, belonging and inclusion in the Wausau River District. Past initiatives have included the umbrellas over 3rd Street, community pianos, and colorful chalked crosswalks.

  • Members of this committee will create and promote educational opportunities for small business owners and entrepreneurs; connect business owners to helpful resources; and advocate for economic and residential development to benefit the District.

  • This committee will help execute WRD events, advertising campaigns, and assist in efforts to promote the organization.
