Submissions Accepted April 1st through June 2nd
Local artists, we need your help! Your work could be featured as WRD’s newest merchandise campaign. Read all about the competition and send us your best designs before the deadline.

TIMELINE
Art submissions will be accepted from Monday, April 1 through Sunday, June 2, 2024.
A panel of local creative professionals will judge submissions the following week; all applicants will be notified of their submission status by Monday, June 10, 2024.
The top three designs chosen by the creative panel will move into a public competition, where community members can vote for their favorite. Voting will be allowed from Sunday, June 15 until Sunday, August 25, 2024.
The design with the most votes will be declared the winner and included in the Wausau River District’s next merchandise campaign.
COMPETITION THEME
What Wausau Means to Me
Designs should encapsulate what Wausau means to the artist, and can be inspired by unique or iconic places, people, or events; local flora and fauna; geographical elements; local history; or even a vision of the future! Designs can be as straightforward or as abstract as desired - there are no rules regarding artistic style choices.
RULES
Artists submitting work must reside in the Greater Wausau Area.
There is no age limit.
One submission per person.
Art can be created in any 2D media, including but not limited to: pencil, ink, oil or acrylic paint, pastels, collage, or digital formats. However, submissions must be sent as high-resolution digital files (PDF, EPS, JPG, Adobe Illustrator/InDesign/Photoshop) that can be used for printing. Complexity of the design may impact an artist’s chance of winning and/or our ability to use the design in print.
The winning artist must sign an agreement giving WRD permission to use their design.
HOW TO SUBMIT A DESIGN
Send your high-resolution file, along with your name, phone number, municipality of residence, and a brief description of your art (including medium/technique used) to: alyson@wausauriverdistrict.org
